At last it's Friday and reach the desired and de-stressing weekend. And for a good start today I propose a post of enjoying, without more, simply admiring a spectacular architectural design while making a break for coffee morning.

How I love breakfast on weekends with a good architecture and design magazine and leisurely!

And more we go to the desert of Chihuahua in Mexico to discover one of the projects Production , a study architecture known for those parts.

The challenge was to make a comfortable living in a place where the climate is extreme, very hot in summer and very cold in winter , and seems to have been exceeded. The secret? Ask a half-buried architecture to keep the house in the best possible weather conditions .

But before winding risking too much with the explanations we will see the first pictures.

The fact be partially buried in the hillside mountain to harness the thermal mass of the ground and strikes a balance between their temperature differences. The soil cooler around the house, it absorbs the heat accumulated during the day, while afternoon heat gives way to housing.

A series of holes drilled in the patios and terraces create ceilings with large windows that allow views of the city, the landscape or sky . From the street the house is perceived as a traditional home, but upon entering it is a complex geometry into different levels that are displayed under the broken roof.

Through these holes in the roof and the erratic and uneven terrain in the interior gets a large influx of natural light and constant views to the landscape and sky. Not a house had been buried so bright ... :)
